The Enhance Professional Athlete (brand dog food) World Retriever Championship, presented by
Sportdog Brand, is slated for the first week of May, 2006. Flint Oak, in Fall River, KS
will be the site for this event, again featuring the largest purse in retriever history.
We have a Champion for 2006!
First place: $25,000 and the world title Brick Hejlik with Indy - 190.75 points
Second Place: $7500 Jenny Grasse with Sera. 187 points
Third Place: $3,000 in cash & prizes Stacey West with Abbie - 182 points
Fourth Place: $1,000 in cash & prizes Stacey West with Rankin - 181.72 points

Located not terribly far from Wichita, KS and within striking distance of Tulsa, OK, Flint
Oak is among America's premiere sportsman’s resorts.
During the May 1 to May 7, 2006 event, competitors and spectators to the event will have a
host of amenities of which they can take advantage. The location boasts a 140 bed lodging
capacity with full meal service and dining capabilities. Recreational activities include
sporting clays and 5-stand as well as fishing opportunities. A Pool & Spa, Game

100 Most Qualified Retrievers alternating Hunt Test/Field Trial
In its second year, the World Retriever Championship will feature a ten series elimination
style competition utilizing “Olympic style judging”. 100 retrievers, some from
Field Trial and some from Hunt Test backgrounds will square off, alternating Field Trial series,
then Hunt test. Even if these dogs were trained on an electric dog fence, the use of such a device is forbidden during the competition. A coin toss at the handler’s dinner on Sunday night will determine the

2005 Sponsors Return for Year Two
This event, which pays out a $25,000.00 cash purse to the first place finisher, would not be

calls are standing behind the event for a second year. OLN TV, which carried two one hour
programs covering the March 2005 Inaugural event, intends to provide similar coverage for the 2006
Championship. We also wish to thank Lifestyle Pets for providing
training tips for contestants.
Top 20 Finishers Automatically Invited Back
Of the 2005 World Retriever Championship Field, the top 20 scoring retrievers are
automatically invited back for second event. After a brief grace period, applications will
open for spots, similar to the process utilized in 2005. For 2006, a reduced entry fee will
be featured for applications submitted before a deadline of August 1, 2005.
